What courses do I have to take for MS in EE?

You have to have two departmental required core courses.

ECE 601

ECE 673 or ECE 620

And you have to have two required core courses in your Areas of Specialization.

In all Areas of Specialization there are some suggested elective courses that you can take.

You are only allowed to take a maximum of two courses outside the ECE Department.

How can I get an assistantship?

For MS students, assistantship (tuition remission and/or stipend) is extremely limited

since financial support is generally reserved for those students pursuing a doctoral degree..

International Students may qualify for financial support after completing one semester

of study at NJIT. However, international students with specialized skills may immediately

qualify for hourly employment depending on the needs of the academic departments,

administrative offices, and different independent labs such as computer labs.

Students can apply for on-campus hourly employment upon arrival.
