CCS Printers Policy
Effective 17 November 2005
General-access, room 4318
- Queues are managed and monitored by UCS
(University Computing Systems). Report jobs not printing, or printing
multiple copies, to sys@oak.njit.edu. Problems with print
queues are handled during normal business hours.
- Paper jams: If you cannot fix the problem
yourself, report it to the Computing Helpdesk at 596.2900, or

- Toner replacementa: Contact your departmental secretary
Private: faculty and staff

- Toner replacement: Provide your own, or contact the Computing Helpdesk
- Reminder: CS personnel can use the general-access printers in
GITC 4318, and IS personnel can use the printer in GITC 5500, if their own
printer is not functioning
Labs

Printing to the GITC 2316 printers
In case you cannot print to either your personal printer or the shared
printers in 4318, the following procedure can be used to print to the
printers in GITC 2316.
The file to be printed must be in AFS.
- Unix/Linux
- Log in remotely to any of afs1.njit.edu to afs36.njit.edu
- To print a plaintext or PostScript file:
ec_bw <filename>
- To print any other kind of file, or for questions about printing, please
see the lab monitor on duty in GITC 2316
- Windows
- Log in to your NJITDM account at a PC in GITC 2302, and send the print
job to one of the printers in GITC 2316
