AFS Password Expiration Notification

The password expiration information in Table 1 applies only to AFS accounts; it does NOT apply to :

NJITDM or ALPHA accounts
ACADEMIC or NJSOA domains

Notifications of impending expiration of a user's AFS password, or a recently expired AFS password, are mailed to <ucid>@njit.edu; these notifications are from AFS-pw-mgr@oak.njit.edu
Password expiration dates are re-calculated daily.

You can check to see when your AFS password will expire.

NOTE - lockout !! : If you are running client applications - e.g., email, ftp, etc. - that use your AFS password, you must change the password that those clients use to your current AFS password ! Why

Remember : If you change your password on date "D1", that password will expire on D2 = D1 + 120 days. This means you should change your password again before D2.
