Windows users will not see any differences during Phase I (described in the
parent document) of the transition from Kerberos 4 to Kerberos 5. The
login process will remain the same and there is no need to update any
software or change any configuration settings on the client PC whether
it is on the local campus network at NJIT or connecting remotely from
home over the Internet using VPN. In short, there is nothing Windows
users need to do during Phase I of the Kerberos transition.
The above applies to both Windows machines in public labs, and to those
Windows machines on which the owner has installed the OpenAFS client.
