Ashley Joyce Mont
PhD Candidate/Adjunct Instructor in Biomedical Engineering
New Jersey Institute of Technology
Rutgers University GSBS

Ashley J. Mont received her B.S. in biomedical engineering from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, in 2014. She completed her M.S. in biomedical engineering in early 2016 from New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, NJ.  She is currently pursuing a PhD in biomedical engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology working in the Neuromotor Behavior and Neurorehabilitation Engineering Laboratory.  Ms. Mont has been a volunteer with Special Olympics of New Jersey for over 10 years, working with athletes of all ages with various disabilities.  Aside from her volunteer work, she has previous experience working as a teaching assistant in a special services school district, working closely with children with neuromuscular disorders. These experiences have inspired her to investigate new technologies to improve the care and quality of life of both adults and children with disabilities. Her current research includes developing devices and techniques to be used with stroke rehabilitation.
