AWWA STUDENT CHAPTER



 

MISSION:

-To bridge the gap between the students needs for knowledge about water quality and treatment issues and the American Water Works Association (AWWA) an organization that is totally devoted to fulfill such demands and needs through continuous research and development in this area.

-To make the student community at large at NIT  aware of AWWA and get their support and cooperation through the establishment of this chapter

-To organize activities in accordance with the golden objective of AWWA at large and the target community in specific.

FOUNDATION:
 

AWWA student chapter at NJIT is the first student chapter ever established in  the whole country and is fully recognized and sponsored  by AWWA.

ACTIVITIES

-organize seminars and field trips related to water treatment in general
-organize conferences involving presentations as well as exhibitions.
-organize competitions involving students as well as financial awards for outstanding performances.

AWWA is a very prominent organization in the water industry that includes among its members highly qualified scientists whose basic responsibilities is to tackle the problems encountered in water treatment and provide a good quality water.
