ENG 352 Random Story
Ryan and Kat work at a local theme park. One evening the park closed early due to several severe storms. Even though the guests were gone, there was still work to be done. While walking they spotted a lard flooded puddle where Kat dared Ryan to dive into. Of course Ryan would agree to such a dare, but just before he went through with it he heard calls of distress. After a second of thought, Ryan realized that the screaming was coming from the sky ride. The park’s been closed for almost four hours and there are people still on the ride!
Ryan still wanted to dive into the puddle, but he knew as a park employee he had to investigate where the screaming was coming from. Since there was a storm going on at the time, the animals in the theme park were agitated. So as Ryan got closer to the screams he heard a noise behind. As he turned around he saw one of the animals from the park had escaped…
This was no ordinary animal, it was a chimpanzee named Derrick. Apparently Derrick had escaped earlier and was assaulting and robbing people all day. He first stopped roller coasters in the middle of their journeys and then proceeded to climb the ride and rob the people. The only reason I knew what the enraged chimp was going to do next was because of our history. That’s right, we had met before…
Yes this wasn’t our first time running into each other and our last encounter almost destroyed the park. There was only one way to lure out Derrick and that was to leave a basket of watermelons and bananas. Kat and I quickly arranged the basket and placed it next to the entrance of the mini golf course. This offered us plenty of cover and the element of surprise I told Kat to go off and save the people on the sky ride; this was something I had to do alone. Sure enough Derrick wandered into the mini-golf course hungry from his recent pillaging. However the cruddy monkey had captured Kat and was holding her hostage.
Knowing that this monkey had to be stopped, I charged in disregarding the possible harm that Kat could suffer. Derrick tossed Kat at me to try and halt my progress but I was able to avoid her body and stab derrick with a monkey tranquilizer. I went to check on Kat and realized she was unconscious. She was an overweight girl so I just left her there for the night and put Derrick back in his cage. As I was leaving the park I had a small sense I was forgetting something, but oh well.
