Business Force an initiative organized by the Business Executives for National Security

exercises have been conducted to raise awareness in NJ businesses in connection with a
Pandemic as well a Chem. /Bio attack. Symposia and facilitated planning sessions are
being developed in 2007 that will include members from the academic community.

Authority in the event of a crises response or recovery.
NJIT as an academic institution has been working with the Business Force by providing
student observers to both desk top and command post exercises subjecting the exercises
to academic investigation and inquiry in order to improve the underlying collaborative
processes. In addition a “virtual” desk top exercise (designed by NJ-BENS and NJIT) is
being planned for the spring of 2007 to “pragmatically” test the effectiveness of certain
collaborative technologies.
