What Trigun + Vash the Stampede means to me...::everyone go awwwwwwwww:: Little thoughts each week!
So...hi! I've been meaning to get this page up sooner, so sorry for the delay. But anywho...here it is! *trumpets play* Here we get everyone's opinion of Vash the Stampede down weekly from random people I know and some I'm not that familiar with.
So from the picture on the top there, one can guess I'm a BIG Vash fan. Well, I am! And proud of it, too! I first saw Trigun about a year ago. I was introduced to it through my boyfriend who is much a Vash fan as myself. I think that made me fall in love with the characters were that they were quite realistic. Ok, so maybeeeee I won't find someone who has a gun for a arm or who comes from a power plant thingie, but the personalities are something you can find in people you meet everyday. How many times have you seen someone act like Milly? or even someone like Nicholas? It's a fanatasy creation with believablity. Such genius comes from Nightow...
Now Vash...A year ago, I wrote a report about human perfectibility. Victor Hugo, the author of Les Miserables, believed in such a virtue in progress. It was the idea that any man or woman can grow and become better persons - not perfect, but perfect themselves. It is something I have written countless reports on because it is something I very much believe every person is capable of grasping.
So I dedicate a lot of my anime artwork to him and give him the a special place in my favorite anime character list - the top! Along with him are people just like him - compassionate, open to growth, + honest - Tooya from Ayashi No Ceres and Sorata from X.
Vash is truly a lovable character...as you will see me type in most of these entries.
Vash was the first anime character to have that trait. Imagine being called the Humanoid Typhoon...imagine everyone giving you a hideous stare, not wanting you around because you were the largest human disaster ever known. Vash had to learn to win the trust of the people through his caring heart and manners. Little by little, year after year, he grew as a person and he squeezed his way into most people's hearts. Also, his philosophy - the one he shares with Rem - is his ultimate way of trying to obtain his concept of perfect. Rem's idea, to him, was that of a sound person with a perfect life. Don't kill...ever.
