Andrew Mundi of Mundi Design Studios created a Flash piece to communicate the Principles of Graphic Design. However, Andrew Mundi has got many critical aspects of this design.
“Mystery" navigation - it took me a few seconds of clicking on the main text on that index page, until it worked out I had to use the numbers on the left...and having to hover over any word on the individual slides just on the off-chance that it may trigger some change or behavior. Also, sub navigation on the left hand side is very complicated with no leading description, you find your way otherwise. Solution: Andrew Mundi should put navigation bar and its subtitles nicely into groups with friendly use of all likes, so the user knows where he is instead of clicking somewhere else randomly. He should stick with one direction to navigate instead of going up and down, left and right. I think simplicity is the key to solve this problem.
Color theory. In this section also he chose awful colors which are gray and dark gray or green olive and dark green olive in a dark blue frame and so on. All eventually may distract the reader or make it hard to read. Solution: Andrew Mundi should pick white color as background and concentrate on the design elements which are very important than everything else Composition and layout: this the main part of this design, I think Andrew Mundi missed some major elements of a good design. Readability of this design is pretty much poor because the font color on similar background beside the size font is too small to be read.
The hierarchy of importance of the elements is not in proper groups that show the importance of its element. so when you move the mouse over the text either do not work or has no meaning at all. Basically, He should bold the title and make subtitle normal font.
The symmetry, he did not followed specific technique to show the description of the elements, some are align to the left some are align to the right. For example, if you the section of the qualities of color all are not in balance. I think if he puts the design in one side and some arrows pointed to its parts on the other side so the user can easily see the changes or the difference Second part of the assignment which is design of three logos The company that I'm looking for is network security and I'll come up with new concept of security that's why I name it X Security. If you look thruogh you'll see the tow main elements of the design are "X" "& "S" which creats an arrow facing the left hand side to grab customers attention to my new concept of security. Here are three different logos for the same company.
