This exercise is due before the 6^th week of class. When you are finished, please email the VI (and any subVI's) to your instructor.

Make sure that you save this HW VI. You will be able to use it in Lab 4 and subsequent VIs.

In this HW assignment, you will demonstrate the ability to write a 2-D array of x-y data to a file which can be read using EXCEL or a text word processor.

Using the SIN function VI (under the NUMERIC palette) , generate a 2-D array of numbers corresponding to

for x=0 to 10p radians. Divide the x range into 100 equally spaced data points. (If you would rather, you can use a Formula NODE or any other Express VI to generate the array of numbers).

Write this 2-D array of numbers to a file using one of writing data to file examples from Lecture. You can use EITHER the WRITE TO SPREADSHEET FILE.VI. a combination of FIle OPEN, WRITE, FILE CLOSE VIs, or the WRITE LABVIEW MEASUREMENT FILE Express VI. Which ever method you choose, the data should appear in the file a two columns of numbers

The user should be prompted for a file name. For example, by leaving the path name blank in the WRITE TO SPREADSHEET FILE.VI, your VI will automatically prompt you for the name of an output file.

Verify that the file you generate can be read into EXCEL.
