Guangyu Zhang, a master student in chemical engineering department. He thinks a good way to adapt to a new surrounding is involving yourself in the communities you belong to or you live in. So he decided to take part in as many affairs happening in his department or on campus as possible and contribute himself as a dept. representative. He also volunteered to serve the fellow students in his department. He will dedicate himself in enhancing the connection among students, faculty, the department, and GSA. As a bridge, he will convey messages about academic and social events to students in his department; and more importantly, give your issues, concerns and feedback back to the department and GSA. He also tries his best to create an excellent study and work atmosphere for everybody in my department. He is always very confident for what he say, because during his sophomore and junior, he had been working as the representative of chemical engineering department in his university. Besides, he had organized the sport events, including department basketball and ping pang games; and participated in the basketball games as a team captain. He is also good at interpersonal skills and office work.
