Rules for Cricket

All Matches shall be played according to the latest Laws of Cricket and ICC rules, unless stated otherwise in the rules given below.

Fixtures
1. Fixtures shall be played on the date specified by the Fixtures list published by the Executive Committee. Rearranging fixtures or the result due to incomplete games would be solely decided by the committee
2. Rainouts: will be rescheduled.

Length Of Matches
1. League matches shall consist of no more than 15 overs per side, with 6 balls per over. Each bowler can bowl only 3 overs.
2. All League games shall ordinarily start at given time sharply, except for delays caused by inclement weather (rain), ground permit problems or any valid reasons out of the scope of both teams, in which case the start time shall be decided by the umpire.
3. If the game is starting lets say 20 min late, we will reduce the number of maximum overs per innings.

Start of Match
1. In order for any team to be ready to take the field, a minimum of 8 players must be present at the ground prior to the start of the game. The incomplete team can borrow 3 players (Not in the other teams of the competition). These 3 players are only allowed to do fielding; they can not bat & bowl. For any team that is not ready to take the field at the designated start time, due to late arrival or any other reason, the umpires have the right to start the match; in this case, the team which arrives late will bat for reduced number of overs while the opponent bats for full quota of their overs. This is the punishment for the team arriving late. If the team fails to arrive even after that time, all weather conditions permitting, the game would be cancelled and awarded to the team that was ready for play. In such a case, the team at fault shall receive zero points and their opponents wins that game.
2. The Captains shall conduct the toss at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the game. In the event that a captain is not present, his team must nominate a deputy for the toss.
3. The Captains should submit playing 11 to the umpires before the toss. After the toss, it is strictly not allowed to change the playing 11.
4. We have to vacate ground strictly at 8:00 pm. It is captain's responsibility to vacate his team out of ground as soon as the match ends.

Bowling Restrictions
1. It is the responsibility of the fielding captain to ensure that a reasonable over rate is maintained. Umpires will advise captains when over rates deteriorate.
2. If the team fielding first does not complete their 15 overs in the 60 min allocated, the number of overs completed when the time expires will be noted. They will then continue bowling until 15 overs have been bowled or all batsmen are out. They will then have as many overs that they had bowled in 45 min to score the number runs that the team batting first scored. If an over is in progress when time expires, the number of over to be allocated will be rounded up to the next highest whole number. This decision would be taken solely by umpires considering all the issues:- Time wasted by the bowling team, Time wasted by batting team, Time wasted due to unavailability of balls and etc
3. If the match is reduced to lesser overs, the bowling team has to complete allocated overs in remaining time and the same rule would be considered as explained above
4. Each bowler has to confirm the side he will be bowling to the main umpire before the start of the over, violating this rule umpire can give next delivery a NO BALL

Wicket-Keeping Restrictions
When changing a wicket keeper, the transition should be notified to the leg-umpire, violating this rule umpire can give next delivery a NO BALL

Substitutes Restrictions
Substituting a player in between the match is allowed only in case of injuries. The substituted player would only field; he won't be able to bowl or bat.

Discipline
1. Captains shall advise members of their respective teams that the Umpires' decision is final and binding in regards to the playing of the game. The Umpires shall not tolerate any individual acting in an ungentlemanly or un-sportsmanlike manner or using profanity nor should the team to which that individual belongs tolerate it.
2. If the bowler, batsman or the fielders are found violating the rules of the game, one warning will be given to them by the umpire. After repeating the same mistake again, the player would be unfit for the game

Umpires
1. The Umpires shall satisfy themselves before the start of the match that the wickets are properly pitched.
2. Before and during the match, the Umpires shall ensure that the conduct of the game and the implements used are strictly in accordance with the laws.
3. The Umpires shall be the sole judges of fair and unfair play. All players shall respect the Umpires decision as final.
4. The Umpires, after consulting with both captains, shall be the sole judges of the fitness of the ground/pitch, weather, etc. The spirit of this rule is to ensure that cricket is played whenever possible, providing there is no danger of injury to players of either side.

Match Results
1. The team scoring the most runs shall be considered the winner and mover forward to the next stage.
2. In the event that both teams score equal number of runs, the game will be considered as a tie and 1 point we will be having a bowl out. In which the captains will appoint 6 bowlers from his side. Who can bowl a maximum of 1 delivery to knock off the stumps. There will be no batsmen in front of the stump. The team who hits the wicket most number of time wins the match.
3. In the event that rain or any other factor interrupts play:-
--- If the interruption takes place before 50% of the second innings, the entire match will be re-scheduled.
--- If the interruption takes place after 50% of the second innings, then following rule would be applied:
a. The over completed in the second innings would be noted, the runs scored by both the teams after that over would be compared, the team having maximum runs would win the match.
b. If the runs are equal, the team which lost minimum wickets would win.
c. If the wickets lost are same, then the team which conceded less extras would win.
