I am a second year student in Msc Industrial engineering. I am up to the task to serve my fellow colleagues in ensuring that they get the best services which will leave a lasting impression and make their stay here at NJIT memorable.
Currently I work as an Ambassador at the international office. I am involved from the time the student is accepted by the college till he or she settles here at NJIT.I carry out the following:
1. Preparations to go the consulates to get a visa
2. Assisting student in housing and transport arrangements
3. Provide information to queries that a student may have
In my role as an Ambassador I have been able to interact with various departmental heads as well as learn the NJIT system as whole. I will be therefore in a position to be of service to my department in tackling and resolving issues that faces as.
The following are some of the issues that I will be addressing given the chance to serve:
1. Bridge the gap between Industrial department and Mechanical department so we can work synchronously as one unit.
2. Organize more forums and presentations whereby we will interact with faculty and professional staff. This will increase chances for job opportunities as well as give us insights into the happenings that are taking place in the business environment.
3. Presenting your queries and ensuring prompt resolve of the same.
