Pervasive/ ubiquitous computing systems allow people to work with information anywhere, at any time.
Just as the PC transformed both business and personal life in the 1990s, a new generation of information appliances will transform both the workplace and the home in the next decade.
They are small and/ or portable, or embedded in your buildings or appliances, or perhaps your body. They are "location" aware, meaning that when in use,
your location can be tracked and taken into account in terms of services that may be offered or information brought to bear. Acceptance and impacts of these technologies has
been the focus of the researchers in Information Systems at NJIT.
