This small browser in browser came into being because our college library dumb terminals were disabled from viewing external sites other than NJIT. So made a browser in browser, which fetches the external pages and displays below.
Many sites do work indeed like the news.bbc.co.uk, www.yahoo.com, etc. Secondary links can(may work/not work) also be surfed on clicking. Some obvious problems with the program is the need sometimes to append a '/' at the end.
