I chose the Virus Protection Center process description (process 3) via process of elimination.

Process 1 regarding turnitin.com I found boring (as the Process Critique is essentially the ONLY paper in class that we need to use it for, despite the heavy importance put on the site by the curriculum) and unnecessary. I can go on for pages about what is wrong with something, but if I don't find much of anything wrong with something and I don't care about the subject, I won't be able to write much more than a few sentences. I also found the necessity of such a process description in question. The turnitin site is well constructed enough that anyone with basic computer skills can use it without having to resort to this. I couldn't critique it without essentially rewriting the entire process description.

Process 2 regarding Microsoft XP I rather liked. It was short, simple, and to the point. However I could see why anyone else would not like it, but I would've found it difficult and unnecessary to write a paper from that point of view.

Processes 4 and 5 were taken from Wikipedia pages. I found that the instructions that were given in these process descriptions were adequate. In addition, I believe that since Wikipedia relies heavily on linking between pages that to get all of the information that one might want on a certain subject would require reading (and therefore critiquing) multiple pages. This makes them very bad choices for this assignment.

I chose process 3 because it was interesting, necessary knowledge for a wide variety of people (virus protection is something that is necessary for anyone with a computer), even if the target base is limited to just NJIT students and faculty. It was something that might not be known to anyone with basic computer knowledge (as compared to processes one and two). It was also very poorly written, which made it a lot easier to write about. While it wasn't exactly the perfect choice of a process for the assignment, it was the best option out of the five.
