A lot of information about the Homework Service is at this link.

DO NOT create a new EID.
Instructors can look up student EIDs (if you are registered in the class). Contact your instructor first.
If you are not registered, you may be able to retrieve your EID from the ITS system using the search options at http://www.utexas.edu/eid. Select the "Find My UT EID" option.
If the self-service options do not solve the problem, you will need to call the ITS Help Desk at 512-475-9400 for assistance.

DO NOT create a new EID.
If you remember your EID, you may use one of the self-reset options available at http://www.utexas.edu/eid. Select "Find/Reset My Password" to see the options available for your UT EID account.

Browsers officially supported by the EID system may be found at this link.
You must accept all cookies in order to use EID logins reliably. The cookies stored on your computer while connected to the UT EID system contain information recognizable ONLY to UT Austin's Administrative Computing Databases. They are used only by UT Austin and are destroyed when you log off of the UT EID system.
Information related to many browser issues can be found at this link.
Please include operating system and browser information (including version numbers) when you contact us about login problems.
Another common browser problem is related to caching, and is most often seen when using the brower Back button. More information about browser caching issues can be found at this link.

DO NOT create a new EID.
IF YOU SHARE A COMPUTER with someone else, and he/she was logged in when you registered, you registered him/her instead of yourself. Consequently, when you log in, you don't see the class. Solution: contact us with these details so that we can remove the bad registration. Then you can register again under your own login.
If you have just registered in a class (under your own EID login), you may have returned to a cached version of the chooseClass page.
  • Reload the page.
  • Close all browser windows, open a new window and log in again.
  • You might have to delete cookies, clear the cache, etc. See the previous section (Browser Issues).
If none of these help, contact your instructor and supply your EID. He/she can contact us for additional help.
Bottom line: ALWAYS log out of the HW Service, and log the previous user out before attempting to do anything.
