1. Designing and Fabrication of “Hand Operated Abrasive Disc Cutting Machine” – Project at K J
Somaiya Polytechnic, India. Designing involved material selection based on the load, stress calculation and
type of material to be cut. Welding, Brazing, Drilling, Gas Cutting and Painting were the major operations
that were involved in Fabrication.
2. “Automation of Radiochemical Analysis of Bio-Assy Samples”- Project at the Bhabha Atomic
Research Centre (B.A.R.C.), India. Designed a 3-Axis Gantry Robot. Proper selection of the LM Guide
and Motors based on the load. Selection of High Precision Pumps like the Peristaltic pumps. Designed
Gear trains and fixtures.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Ras TurboNed, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India ( July 2007 – June 2008)
Designation: Service Engineer.
Responsible for maintenance of inventory and dealt with routine maintenance and emergencies.
Involved in overhauls of turbochargers at client power plants and vessels.
Worked on dynamic balancing of rotor shaft.
Involved in jet spray cleaning and sand blasting cleaning technique of various parts of the turbochargers.
