Peter Murphy Writing Seminars offers writing-intensive workshops where teachers read, write and discuss the process they are enjoying. Peter believes that meaningful instruction is stimulating for students and teachers alike, and models this practice by making workshops fun and down-to-earth. Teachers can use what they learn the very next day.   Peter also runs the Cape May, NJ  Winter Poetry & Prose Getaway Getaway  featuring poets such as Renée Ashley, Robert Carnevale, Catherine Doty, Douglas Goetsch, James Richardson, Terese Svoboda, Madeline Tiger, J. C. Todd and Pulitzer Prize-winning Poet, Stephen Dunn.

Writers Colonies, Residencies and Retreats has a listing of colonies and retreats that provide a place for writers to live and work for a period of time at little or no cost. There are also international listings.

Workshops at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA   Workshops at this Cape Cod location are particularly enjoyable during the full summer schedule of weekends and full weeks. Geraldine R. Dodge grants are available to New Jersey residents.
