Mailing List
The
poetsonline.org mailing list allows you to receive a simple e-mail
reminder
whenever the site is updated
with new poems and a new writing prompt.
We
do not share or sell our address list with others.
Poets Online uses the services of Google to maintain its mailing list.
How do I add my e-mail address to your mailing list?
You can fill
in the form above or click the link to visit the site first.
Google will require you to validate your subscription by responding
to an email they will send you. This email contains information
about the mailing list. You may use any email address to receive
your updates from us.
How often will I get mail?
Generally mail is sent only when a new group of submissions are
posted and a new prompt appears - that occurs about once a month.
I signed up but I'm not getting mail?
If our mail to you is returned to us as "undeliverable", your address will be removed from the mailing list.
This occurs for a number of reasons:
1) you cancel or change your mail account
2)
your mailbox is full (often true of free accounts like Hotmail & Yahoo)
3)
our mail
is blocked by your mail service (your account may have a "spam" filter
- for example, AOL accounts may require you to allow mail
to come from us by adding our address poetsonline@gmail.com to your
address book)
4)
because
of settings in your anti-virus program that won't allow "unknown" addresses
or bulk mail that is sent to a group of people (such as this and
other mailing lists)
How can I unsubscribe?
Your Google account will allow you to change your mail preferences or
unsubscribe at any time.
