Welcome...

My name is Shivang Adhyaru, and this is my third year at NJIT. I am a pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a minor in business. Hopefully I can enter the BS/MS program so I can take some graduate courses next year because I am planning on going for a Masters degree after completion of my Bachelors. As a full time student I am taking 19 credits this semester, which is part of the reason why I’m taking the online version of this course despite staying in the dorms. I took my first online course this past summer, and found it more comfortable than going to a traditional class.

This year I am also hoping to find some research opportunities or internships to help me get a better idea of how I want to apply my degree out of college. I had not managed to get one in the past so I hope I can find one this year.

I was born in Passaic but moved to Bloomingdale at about 5 years old. My parents own a small convenient store there where I have been working at since I was a freshman in high school. At the store my typical job is to tend to customers, clean up, restock goods, send moneygrams, and anything else that needs to be done. On the weekends I go back home and continue to work there. When I have time I relax by playing computer games or watching a movie.
