Master's Thesis ( 6 credits )

Catalog description:
Prerequisites: matriculation for the master of science degree, thesis advisor's approval, and adequate graduate courses in the field of the proposed thesis.

Candidates for the degree who choose this option must submit an acceptable thesis on an approved subject that contributes to the literature of the field, and preferably aids the candidate's present or potential, career. While original research may not always result, the thesis should provide a new conclusion or application. Approval to register for the thesis must be obtained from the thesis advisor. A student must continuously register for a minimum of 3 credits per semester until the thesis is completed. Total credit will be limited, however, to the 6 credits indicated for the thesis.
