Beam Access (A Mylar Variable Temperature Insert)

SM4000VTI-MYLAR variable temperature insert for Spectromag 4000 with:

·       25 mm diameter sample space

·       Temperature range 1.5 - 300 K (measured at heat exchanger)

·       ± 0.1 K temperature stability

·       Capillary fed heat exchanger fitted with heater and Cernox sensor

·       Automatic needle valve operated via ITC controller

4 off horizontal 10 mm clear diameter optical access, two in field direction, two perpendicular to field direction, fitted with Mylar windows, nominal thickness 0.003”

OVC Mounts

·       Aluminium mounts. Internal diameter 10 mm (with no sharp edges) to fit standard outer vacuum case window mount

    M2 threads provided to allow clamping of Be foil (Be foil not supplied)

 

Hinged sample rod

·       Manual ± 15 mm axial movement and  360 rotation.

·       Fitted with three 10-pin Fischer connectors, one wired, two unwired

Hinged to reduce top loading height to 1.9 m above base of tails of cryostat. (approx. 1.72 m above window centre line of SM4000-10)
