Welcome! I am a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). My dissertation advisor is Ali N. Akansu. I am expected to graduate in December 2012. Tentative title of my thesis is "High Performance Signal Processing: Theory, Design, and Applications in Finance."

I am a member of the Laboratory for High Performance DSP Research at NJIT. I was a visiting doctoral student at Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences of New York University between Jun. and Dec. 2009 as an active member of the Quantitative Finance Research Team of Marco Avellaneda.

I received my B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Dokuz Eylul University (DEU), Izmir, Turkey, in 2005 and 2007 respectively, both in electrical and electronics engineering. I was a research assistant in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at DEU from 2005 to 2008.

My research interests include high performance computing, data-intensive research in signal processing, multi-resolution signal analysis, statistical signal processing, pattern classification, neural networks, genetic algorithms; and their applications in quantitative finance, electronic trading, digital communications, digital imaging, and biomedical engineering.
