Conferences

Our most recent meeting of the working group was in Cork, Ireland, on 4-7 July 2002. The topic of the conference was "Decision Making and Decision Support in the Internet Age." Complete information can be found at http://afis.ucc.ie/DSIAge2002.

The working group also co-sponsored the workshop on "Knowledge Management in Electronic Government" (KMGov-2004) in Krems, Austria, May 17 - 19, 2004. Information can be found at http://falcon.ifs.uni-linz.ac.at/kmgov2004/.

We held a conference in Stockholm, Sweden, on 9-11 July 2000. The topic of the conference was "Decision Support through Knowledge Management."

We held a meeting of the working group in Bled, Slovenia, on 12-15 July 1998. The topic of the conference was "Context Sensitive Decision Support Systems."

Aim

The development of approaches for applying information systems technology to increase the effectiveness of decision-making in situations where the computer system can support and enhance human judgements in the performance of tasks that have elements which cannot be specified in advance.

Scope

To improve ways of synthesizing and applying relevant work from resource disciplines to practical implementation of systems that enhance decision support capability. The resource disciplines include:
