In the last decade, next generation sequencing has enabled the discovery of genetic variants for thousands of human diseases. One of the great challenges in medicine today is how to transform mass quantities of genetic sequencing data into clinically relevant information to improve healthcare. I will describe my recent works on building databases and tools to interpret next generation sequencing for personalized cancer therapy and novel therapeutics.
