Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) has the potential to transform the way people live through the creation of a pervasive and interoperable wireless network that includes a huge variety of "things". However, IoTs are vulnerable to security threats due to increasing reliance on communication, computing, and control technologies. The unique security challenges posed by IoTs include integrity (data trust), confidentiality, non-repudiation, access control, real-time operational constraints/demands, and availability. In this talk, I will discuss the security vulnerabilities as well as countermeasures (such as malicious behavior detection and also trust management) to cope with those malicious attacks in IoTs.
