Bio

Michel Crucianu is Professor of Computer Science at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers (CNAM) in Paris, France. He leads the Vertigo research group (http://cedric.cnam.fr/vertigo/) of the CEDRIC (Computer Science laboratory of CNAM) and is also an external collaborator of INRIA Rocquencourt. He received the M.Eng. in 1989 at the Polytechnic Institute of Iasi, Romania, the Ph.D. in computer science in 1994 at the University of Paris 11 and his "Habilitation a Diriger des Recherches" in 2001 at the University of Tours, France. His current research interests include Content-Based Image and Video Retrieval and Multimedia Data Mining, with a focus on scalability and on semi-supervised learning.
