Dr. Ivor Knight is a Director at Canon U.S. Life Sciences, Inc., a new subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc. focused on establishing business opportunities for Canon in the Life Sciences market. His responsibilities include R&D planning, government relations and site selection for the company’s headquarters and laboratory facility. Dr. Knight also holds faculty appointments in at James Madison University, where he taught molecular biology and conducted a successful infectious disease research program, and at the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies, where he works on bioterrorism defense issues. He has served in scientific advisory positions for both state and federal government agencies and has traveled extensively in support of U.S. foreign policy objectives to reduce the global burden of infectious disease. Dr. Knight received a BS in Animal and Veterinary Science from West Virginia University and a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Biometry from the University of Maryland.
