Kang Xi is currently an industry associate professor in the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Polytechnic Institute of New York University (NYU-Poly). His research interests include data center networks, high-speed switching and routing, and network security. He joined NYU-Poly in 2005. Before that he worked as a research associate at Osaka University (Osaka, Japan) and a senior design engineering in Beijing. Kang Xi received a BS, MS and PhD in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing, in 1998, 2000, and 2003, respectively. Dr. Kang Xi has extensive experience on the design of SONET, Ethernet and IP products.
