Bio

Dr. Jiangbo Dang is a Research Scientist at Siemens Corporate Research, Princeton, NJ. His research areas include knowledge based decision support systems, multi-agent systems, Semantic Web and ontologies, business process management and healthcare workflows. Dr.Dang has led inventions and developments of a set of tools for semantic-enhanced content and knowledge management. His current research focuses on semantic knowledge systems and data mining. He has published many papers in the areas of ontology matching, semantic enabled workflow systems, semantic content tagging and search. For semantic tagging and search, His algorithms (filed as a US patent) outperform most existing automatic tagging systems. Dr. Dang has intensive hands-on experience in knowledge-based decision systems, ontology engineering and working on heterogeneous data in various business customer projects as well as government projects. Meanwhile, he serves as a Program Committee Member of many top conferences and a reviewer of major journals. Dr. Dang earned his PhD in computer science from the University of South Carolina, Columbia.
