Xia Jing joined the Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communications at the National Library of Medicine as a clinical informatics postdoctoral fellow in March, 2010, working with Dr. James Cimino. Her current projects include graphic methods for analyzing large data sets through the use of hierarchical terminologies, development of a user-friendly tool for capturing librarian knowledge, and development of a framework of the research aspects of clinical research informatics. She earned her Bachelorís degree of Medicine (subject: Medical Library and Information Sciences) from China Medical University in July, 1997, and her PhD in Health Informatics from the University of Salford in England in February, 2010. Her research interests include EHR applications, clinical information needs, graphic information analysis and information evaluation, intelligent systems, knowledge representation and management, structure and query of knowledge bases, linkage between genomic information and health information and translational biomedical informatics.
