Qiben (Chi-Ben) Yan received Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech in 2014, and a M.S. and B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Fudan University, in 2010 and 2007, respectively. His research interests are to design secure network infrastructure to protect the modern networks under threats, by applying techniques such as machine learning, statistical methods, and time series analysis. He is particularly interested in wireless network security and privacy, secure cognitive radio networking, network monitoring and forensics, secure Internet of Things, botnet detection, and intrusion and anomaly detection.
