Bio

Junchen Jiang is a final-year PhD candidate at Carnegie Mellon University, advised by Dr. Vyas Sekar and Dr. Hui Zhang. His research interests are computer networks, big data, and cloud computing. His dissertation is about applying data-driven techniques to optimizing Quality of Experience of Internet applications, including Internet video and Internet telephony. Many paper resulting from his research have been published in top venues, including ACM SIGCOMM and USENIX NSDI. Junchen received his bachelor's degree in computer science from Tsinghua University, China, in 2011. He received Juniper Networks Fellowship, and has won a paper award from ACM CoNEXT 2012.
