Srikant Sharma received his B.Tech. degree in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology, Calicut, India. He is currently pursuing Ph.D. in Computer Science at the State University of New York, Stony Brook. Prior to joining Ph.D. curriculum, he worked as a Senior R&D Engineer with Wipro Corporation, Global R&D division. During his Ph.D., he has been associated with Rether Networks Inc., a technology startup in New York, as a lead architect and developer. His research interests are in the area of Experimental Computer Systems with an emphasis on wired/wireless networks, storage area networks, and operating systems. He has received several awards, including the Ericsson Fellowship and the annual CMG Graduate Fellowship from the Computer Measurement Group in recognition of contributions to the field of measurement, modeling, management, and analysis of system and network performance.
