Dr. Dana L. Ulery

Bio

Dr. Ulery brings over 30 years of experience in applying knowledge and information technology to large-scale business solutions, as well as performing basic and applied research in these areas. She has created and developed large-scale software systems for both industry and government enterprises, and has published and lectured extensively on many software and quality management topics. Dr. Ulery was a pioneering leader in the area of global business-to-business e-commerce, serving as US and Pan American Delegate to international information technology e-commerce and quality standards organizations for over a decade. She is the recipient of the Army Knowledge Award for Best Transformation Initiative, given for extraordinary contributions to US Army modernization. In her positions as Chief of the ARL Enterprise Systems Division and the ARL Knowledge Management Center, Dr. Ulery developed the first ARL intranet and set of Web business workflow services. Prior to joining ARL, she was a Senior Research Scientist at the Georgia Institute of Technology. During her earlier career with the DuPont Company, Dr. Ulery became the highest ranking female in DuPont Engineering when promoted to Program Manager in 1982. She is listed in Who''s Who in the World, American Men and Women in Science, Who’s Who of American Women, and Who''s Who in the East. Dr. Ulery received her PhD and MS degrees in Computer Science from the University of Delaware, and her BA degree in Mathematics and English Literature from Grinnell College. She lives with her husband in Landenberg, PA.
