Mon Dec 10, Tue Dec 11: Network and Email problems
Since around 11:30am today Mon Dec 10, access to alg101@cs.njit.edu is not possible
because of an apparent networking problem.
Neither email can be sent to nor email transmitted from it.
If you sent an email to alg101@cs.njit.edu, please send it again to the
instructor's email address directly. Because of this problem, email
for MP3 will be sent directly
from the grader's email account, rather than from agl01. Such email
dispatch would be completed tonight Monday Dec 10. As soon as these
network/email problems are resolved, this notice would be updated accordingly.
As of Tue Dec 11, these problems have still been unresolved (Tue Dec 11, 9:14am).
At 10:05, Tue Dec 11, connectivity problems have been resolved.
-
Mini Project 3
All emails received through Thu Dec 6 12:05
have been acknowledged. (Note that this link won't be updated between 11:20
and 4pm on Thu Dec 6 due to classes and meeting participation.)

Nov 26, Final Exam Date
The final Exam date for Section 001 and Section 003 has been announced.
It will be on
Thu Dec 20 (last day of the exam period).
The exam starts at
8:30 am, 120mins, 300pts.
The common room for both sections is
Cullimore Lecture Hall 2.
Note that all sections of CS 101 have an exam that date and time; they utilize
other exams rooms. Make sure that you come to the designated exam room and NOT
to the classroom or to some other section's room.
Note that in some browsers the starting time shows as if the exam is to start
at 11:00am and to conclude by 11:00am. This is incorrect. The exam will start
at 8:30am promptly.
You can verify the exam information from
Registrar's Web-page Fall 2012 Exam Schedule (the bottom of page 6 has the information for section 001 and 003).

in the form of named variable that were not properly set. If you have any questions re this
message conduct the instructor directly who sent out those email messages.
-

Due to the disruption caused by Hurricane Sandy, no quiz will be given this week and the next.
However expect a flurry of quizes the weeks after.
-
11/05 Email issues Update 2:24pm 11/5
The account alg101@cs.njit.edu IS NOT WORKING. We have been unable
to read email messages sent to it since Mon Oct 29 because of Hurricane Sandy. Thus, if you
want to communicate, send an email directly to the instructor or the TA (who is having hurricane-related
problems). In the email add the course number including section number in the Subject line, if you
expect a prompt response. Email problems might have been resolved as of
Mon 11/5, 2:24pm; however email sent since Mon Oct 29 may have been lost
-
11/05 MP2 extension MP2 will be granted an extension. It is now
due on Tuesday Nov 20. (Do not forget that because of the Thanksgiving Recess,
NJIT follows a Thursday schedule on Tuesday Nov 20, thus section 003 will meet both
Monday and Tuesday, whereas section 001 will only meet Tuesday; no office hours that day since
for NJIT that Tuesday would be a Thursday).
-
11/05 Back to class
Today's class for section 003 will be
given as scheduled. Exam 1 will be returned. MP1 HAS NOT BEEN GRADED YET DUE TO
THE HURRICANE DISRUPTIONS.
-
10/28-10/29 Hurricane Sandy NJIT will be closed Monday Oct 29 and
also Tuesday Oct 30. Thus there would be no classes. In addition, no office
hours would be held on Mon or Tue.
