• Apr19: Exam4 : Final Exam Be reminded that the final exam is scheduled, as noted in Handout 1, for Thursday May 3, 2012 starting at 6pm in the classroom (CKB 212). Read Handout 1 for details.
• Apr16: Exam 3 The exam has been graded. Statistics are available through the link in section C.4.The exam and its solutions are available through section C.4 or C.5. The exam will be returned on Thu (see course calendar).
• Apr13: Course web-page yesterday As noted in class, there was a power outage yesterday that affected some NJIT machines and networking equipment. The standard way to access the course web page http://www.cs.njit.edu was unavailable for some time around 4-5pm. However the alternative one described in item 4 of Handout 0, i.e. http://web.njit.edu was still working.
• Apr12: PA3 All email submissions received through 00:30FriApr13 have been acknowledged. Other emails received through 04:00FriApr13 have also been acknowledged.
• Apr 5: Reminder for next week The third exam, Ex 3 is scheduled for Apr 12. For details go to the Syllabus (Handout 1). The material that will be covered includes Chapters 7,8,9,11,12 (but not 12.4) of CLRS (i.e. CLRSE3e). You can practice with the problems of PS5,6,7, if you like, plus the problems and exercises of the textbook from the relevant chapters.
• Apr 5: Sub 12,13,14 are available in section C.
• Apr 5: PS8 is available in section C.
• Mar 22: PS7 is available in section C.
• Mar 9: Exam 2 solutions are out in section C.
• Mar 8: Exam 2 and PA 2 update The exams will be returned tonight at @19:30. PA2 is in the process of being graded; expect emails by next week (break).
• Mar 5: Midterm Class Performance Indicative performance is available through the link of section C1. Read the information there carefully. Grades for the first two exams are needed.
• Mar 5: Exam 2 has been posted in Section C. Sample solutions will become available late Thursday or early Friday 3/9. The exam was graded by the TA whose information is available at the top of this page. Statistics for the exams are available in section C4.
• Mar 5: PS 6 has been posted in section C.
• Mar 1: PA2 All email submissions received through 00:02FriMar 2 have been acknowledged.
• 2/24 : Exam 2 (midterm) Testing material includes Chapters 1,2,3,4 (but not section 4.2),6,16.3 (Huffman codes),7,10, and PS1-PS5. The midterm is on Mar 1 (see course syllabus for more details).
• 2/23 : PS 5 has been posted.
• 2/23 : Subjects 7,8,9 have been posted.

• 2/16 : PA 1 has been graded. Emails with grades will be sent out later on Thu Feb 16. Grader (TA) information is available on this page.

• 2/12 : Exam 1 miscellanea The exam and sample solutions have been posted. Statistics are also available. Go to section C. The exam will be returned at the next class (during the break).
• 2/9 : Reminder for Exam 1 Closed everything. 45min. It will occupy the time slot from 6 to 7pm. Class resumes by 7:05pm.
• Feb 8/9: PA1 All email submissions received through 08:56@FriFeb10 have been acknowledged. (This page will not be updated after 22:30. More updates tomorrow Friday.)
• 2/2 : Exam 1 A closed-everything exam will take place next Thu Feb 9. Read Handout 1. It will be based on PS1,PS2,PS3 and will include material presented in class tonight. (Also PA1 is due by next week.)
• 2/1 : PS3 with solutions is available through section C (protected area). Handouts 3 and 4 (Section B) can be of help as well.
• 1/26: PS2 with solutions is available through section C (protected area).
• 1/25: PA1 A typo was corrected in PA1 as indicated in section B. PA1 has been updated accordingly.
