• (04/13) Exam seating arrangements, exam departure policy, and last office hours All is available in canvas. Note that the final exam room (time and date) is determined by the Registrar and IS NOT the classroom (nor the time and/or day of the class). After the first hour has elapsed you are allowed to leave the exam room between 60min and 105min after the start of the exam as explained in Canvas announcements. Just raise you hand silently to draw my attention. You are not allowed to leave the room past the 105-th minute or if the number of students remaining is less than four. If you leave before the 60th minute or after the 105-th minute you will be reported to the Dean of Students, and your final exam will be assessed to a grade of 0. At most three signatures will be collected: (a) on the exam paper, (b) during the exam (receipt signature) after 15 minutes from the start and (c) in case of early departure (turnin signature). Note that the last office hours are for Mon 2 May 2022. (There are no office hours during the reading days or the exam period.)
  • (04/13) Final Exam Numeric grade There will be two ways for you to find out the final exam numeric grade: (a) show up in the special hours of Thu 12 May 12:00 noon-13:00 and you may inspect the final exam paper very quickly and within a very limited amount of time of no more than 90seconds (this is to accommodate as many students as possible), or (b) send an email from your NJIT email account to the course email address (and only it and not to ME) with your Exam number and the last four digit of your NJIT ID. You will receive an email back describing your numeric grade in terms of Homework or other Exam grades. You may still have a detailed look of the final exam paper, during the first three weeks of the follow-up semester (FALL) during regular office hours as announced at the start of that semester. No photos or captures of the exam paper(s) are allowed.
  • (04/14) Final Exam Device policy
  • The instructions that you will find on Exam 2 are those of Exam 1. We show below the device policy. Mobile phones, mobile or not devices, including wearables connected to phones or to networks (e.g. iwatch) SHOULD NOT BE ON YOU or on the exam table. They must be powered down (equivalent to removing the battery) and put securely in a backpack or bag. The backpack/bag should be closed/zippered. Read the Syllabus clause on devices. This includes hearing aids or hearing attachments. (You should have requested permission for their use through the Dean of Students.) FOOD/DRINKS are not allowed per NJIT regulations.
