(4/11 ) Exam seating arrangements, exam departure policy,
and last office hours
(a) The final exam day, date, time and place is scheduled
by the Registrar; info on the Registrar's web-page
through the link shown below,
(b)
the seating arrangements for the final will be posted
in Section C.1.b and announced through Canvas Announcements and
the course web-page,
(c)
after the first hour of the exam has elapsed you will be allowed
to leave the exam room between 60min and 105min after the start of
the exam; beyond that or earlier you will not be allowed to
depart the exam room,
(d) notwithstanding of the previous notes, no one is allowed to
leave the room if the number of students present is 3 or less,
(e) at most three signatures will be collected:
(i) on the exam paper,
(ii) in the signup list
(receipt signature) handed out 15 minutes
from the start of the exam, and
(iii) in the signup list (turnin signature) in case of early
departure, and finally
(f) note that the last office hours are on May 1.

(4/11 ) Final Exam Numeric grade
There will be two ways for you
to find out the final exam numeric grade:
(a) show up in office hours in the Fall Semester during
the first 4 weeks of the Fall Semester and have
a detailed review of the final exam paper
(no photos or captures of the exampaper are allowed),
or
(b) send an email from your NJIT email account
to the course email address (and only it and not to ME)
with your Exam number and the last four digits of your NJIT ID.
You will receive an email back describing your numeric grade in
terms of Homeworks or the Exam 1 grade.

(4/11 ) Final Exam Paper inspection
You may inspect the paper final exam on
Thursday 11 May from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.
Be ready to provide the exam number, last four digits of
your NJIT ID and last and first names.
There might be a time limit of 2 minutes per student if
there is a wait queue outside my office to accommodate as
many students as possible; otherwise first come first reviewed.
No captures no photos.

The same as described in the Syllabus and the Exam instructions
and utilized in Exam 1.

(4/11 ) FINAL EXAM INFORMATION
The CS 610 final exam is EXAM 2 (360pt in 120min);
the Registrar's web-page link shown provides more info.

The final exam

is set for
Wednesday 10 May, starting at 2:30pm at TIERNAL LEC 1.
(provisional, might change, check Registrar link frequently)
The material that will be covered includes (more details at
the beginning of every available subject) Subject 1 all
the way through and including Subject 13
but NOT Subject 12 on String Matching.
For Subject 13 definitions re poly-time,
decision vs optimization problems, and inclusion to classes P or NP
may only be examined. Subject 11 material will not be tested unless
it was covered elsewhere in class, before the last class/lecture.
Text-book (GT) wise, this material is covered in
Chapters 1-7 and Chapter/Section 9.3, and the
outline/conclusions of Chapter 13.
More detailed information is available on the front of each
Subject.
- Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3(specifically 3.1,3.2,3.6,3.7),
Chapter 4,
- Chapter 5, Chapter 6
(but neither 6.3.2 nor the implementation related 6.4.3, 6.5),
- Chapter 7 (but neither 7.1.2 nor 7.3.3),
Chapter 9 (only section 9.3),
Chapter 13 (only 13.1 and 13.2.1).
