Navigating to the UCS menu
The UCS Menu contains an application submenu which can be used to easily
access the various applications which are available on a given lab system.
On Solaris clients such as the machines in the Sun Lab and the Sunray
terminals in the Info Commons, the UCS menu can be found under the Launch menu.
On Linux clients such as the machines located in OSL, the UCS menu
can be found under the Start Here menu.
The Firefox web browser is available for web browsing. The browser can be started
using the taskbar icon or by navigating to the UCS Applications Menu and clicking
on the Firefox icon.
The Thunderbird mail client is available for reading your NJIT email.
Thunderbird can be started using the taskbar icon or by navigating to the
UCS Applications Menu and clicking on the Thunderbird icon.
The OpenOffice.org office suite, which provides word processing, spreadsheet and
presentation applications similar to that of Microsoft office, is available.
OpenOffice can be started using the taskbar icon or by navigating to the UCS
Applications Menu and clicking on the desired OpenOffice application icon.
