A Diagram of the UMLS Semantic Network

Description

In the Medical Informatics Lab at NJIT we have looked for an image of a complete representation of the IS-A hierarchy of the semantic network (SN) of the Unified Medical Language System (UMLS) as a diagram.  Since several of us were unable to find such a diagram we decided that it was worthwhile to create one and share it.  The indented view of the SN provided by the NLM is more compact (fitting on two pages) than this diagram of the SN (four pages) but I find it easier to trace a path on this diagram than on the indented view.  We hope that the community will also find this diagram useful.
