Granulation
Objectives
- study of granule growth and break-up from micro-scale interactions of binder-covered particles
- development of a computer simulation for agglomeration of “sticky”, binder covered particles in a large domain subjected to shear
- based on the above, develop procedures for scale up of pharmaceutical granulation in high shear granulators
- investigate new techniques for binder-less granulation (or granulation with minimal use of liquids)
