Research: Particle Technology Center(PTC)

• Mission of the PTC is to:
  • conduct basic experimental research and mathematical modeling at the microlevel to gain an understanding of the macroscopic behavior of bulk solids in dry and slurry form;
  • educate undergraduate and graduate students and provide training to other professionals in the engineering practice of particle technology;
  • develop cost effective flow, handling, and processing technology of particle systems relevant to existing and emerging industries, and transfer this technology to industrial companies working in partnership with the Center.
