Many students receive "Acceptance/Conditional." This usually occurs in one of two situations. First, if a student is currently completing his or her bachelor's degree, NJIT may offer a conditional acceptance; the acceptance is conditional upon the student completing the bachelor's degree successfully. In the second case, a student may be accepted but required to complete one or more bridge courses. The bridge courses can be taken at NJIT during the first two semesters of study. Bridge courses are assigned only if the student is missing some background material from his or her undergraduate program of study. This typically occurs when a student enrolls in the electrical engineering program with a bachelor's degree in either computer science, computer engineering, or instrumentation engineering.
