TOPICS DISCUSSED:
 Engineering project organization and management, technical proposals, intellectual property, professional responsibilities and ethics.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

    Abstract (about 1 Page) due no later than February 5.
    Draft: No later than March 26.
    Final version: Due April 23.
 The proposals may be reviewed both by the course instructor and by at least one other faculty member versed in the field of the proposed project. In order to facilitate timely feedback and advice to the student it is necessary that each abstract and each draft must be personally discussed with the instructor.
 Term Paper: (20%) 
 Topic dealing with engineering practice, ethics, professional issues and social implications of technology. 
  • Suggest title, with brief (one sentence or so) description, by February 19.
  • Term paper due by March 5.

Students will be asked to make brief (15 minute) presentations to the class, each of their proposed projects.
