mid-Atlantic Regional meeting


The mid-Atlantic Regional DVM & DCB meeting will be held on Saturday, 22 October 2016, at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. This will be an exciting full-day event featuring five minute talks and social opportunities to meet other researchers in the NY-NJ-PA-MD-DE-VA area (and beyond!), network for collaborations, and discuss exciting integrative research. 


Registration and Title Submission Deadline: October 1, 2016

Title details: Please provide an informative title, limited to 30 words. Email title to dvm.dcb@gmail.com by midnight Oct 1 2016 for inclusion in the speaker line-up. Participants should plan to speak or no more than 5 minutes (e.g. 2-3 data slides).

Registration: Included in email with abstract submission, please include your registration status. You may also register to attend the meeting without presenting - in which case please notify us at dvm.dcb@gmail.com by Oct 1 2016. Please plan to send registration payments by October 10, 2016, to facilitate planning.

Registration fees will cover breakfast, lunch, and 2-3 coffee breaks. The registration fee schedule is as follows:

Faculty: $45

Postdoctoral researchers: $35

Graduate student: $25

Undergraduate student: $15

High school student: $10

Attendees under the age of 14 may attend for free.

To register, please send a check for the correct amount written out to New Jersey Institute of Technology and send to Brooke Flammang, 323 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., NJIT, Newark, NJ 07102. Please write "Flammang-DVM/DCB" in the memo line.

Event schedule: The meeting is expected to convene at 9:30 am with a breakfast and networking session. Five-minute talks will begin at 10:30 am and run until approximately 3 pm, with lunch and coffee breaks between.

Location: NJIT is easily reached by public transportation - you may take the Amtrak or NJTransit to Newark Penn Station and then take the light rail three stops to Warren Street/NJIT stop (or walk about a mile up the hill from Newak Penn). We will also have free parking available at the parking deck a short one block walk away.
