Postdoctoral researchers

The Fluid Locomotion Lab does not currently have an open postdoctoral position, however, exceptional candidates seeking external fellowships are welcome to contact Prof. Flammang to discuss opportunities. Several grants are pending and future opportunities will be posted as available.

Graduate student researchers

The NJIT Fluid Locomotion Lab will likely seek 1-2 exceptionally qualified graduate students for the upcoming admissions cycle (Fall 2017 incoming class).

Undergraduate research opportunities

We welcome NJIT and Rutgers-Newark undergraduates who are interested in gaining research experience in the areas of functional morphology, comparative biomechanics, fluid mechanics, and bioinspired robotics. Please note that we generally discourage short term projects (single semester) since there is a significant amount of training required prior to participating in one of our research programs. Students interested in long-term (one year or more) intensive research projects are encouraged to contact Prof. Flammang.
