GX_Simulator creates this type of model if the data structure imported from IDL contains only the mandatory tags Bx By and Bz, or Bcube and the optional tags describing the solar disk position and voxel resolution, as described in the Input File Formatig Convention section of this document.
A typical BxByBz IDL structure is described below.
IDL>
help,box,/str** Structure <4a82558>, 9 tags, length=26900808, data length=26900804, refs=1:
BX FLOAT Array[100, 100, 100]
BY FLOAT Array[100, 100, 100]
BZ FLOAT Array[100, 100, 100]
DR DOUBLE Array[3]
LAT FLOAT 17.1310
LON FLOAT 36.3370
GX_simuator is distributed with a set of BxByBz models located in the gx_simulator/demo/box folder.
If GX_Simulator recognizes this model type, it creates a Model Attributes page that contains a magnetic field scaling factor input field, which may be used to linearly scale the absolute value of the magnetic field in the model.
The Model Attributes plot area may be used to display 2D correlation plots of any combination of two of Bx, By, Bz or B model parameters, or 1D distributions of those.
